VR motion cancelation

Any plans to implement something so apps can remove the motion from whats seen in the vr headset? Some of your motion sim cvompetitors have this built in.

I would really like to see this as well. Though, the motion cancellation should be adjustable.

SRS is using this device to implement motion cancellation:

I have had D-Box and VR for a very long time but don’t understand what needs to be removed. I have heard of others asking but do you mean reducing the actual motion or telling the image to not move as much?

Hi Ken,
the idea in motion compensation is that the image inside VR is not moving, when the motion platform is moving.

I actually like the movement inside VR, for me it makes the immersion much better. It feels more real.

The problem is that in very bumpy tracks (like Sebring) the image is moving too much, that’s why I would like to see Motion compensation implemented with adjustable parameters.

Yes, i saw that but the data needed is also in all the motion systems so they should be able to make that accessible to vr headsets.

This would stabilize the image (a little). The motion would not change.

Hey Everyone, thank you for sharing you concern/desire for such a device. We at D-BOX believe our systems, if tuned properly should represent an accurate amount of mouvements to the user and should not need something to compensate. However, we have seen more similar comments in online forum and we are aware of the sentiment of some users. We are still trying to understand the best way to go about this and will be able to give you more information on the matter as we investigate.

Thank you for letting us know!

Marc,

Hi Brian,

I’m sorry, but I don’t quite understand what you meant with your reply.

The link for device was meant for D-Box staff as help, if they would start to implement Motion compensation.

I wish that SRS would allow all users to use they Motion compensation.

I understand the goal but saying I have never experienced that. Wonder why it is an issue to some drivers or some VR brands and not others.
